This privacy statement outlines how 06 Care uses and protects your personal information and explains why and how we use that information, who we may share it with and your rights over your own information.

06 Care is a lawful processor of your information as we have consent to do so, it fulfils a legal and contractual obligation and because it is in your best interests.

06 Care collects personal information in order for us to provide you the best care.  Some of this information is provided to us by our Commissioner and your GP so care can begin without delay.

We may ask for further information during review meetings with you, but we’ll always tell you exactly what we may need, why we need it and will always seek permission to use it.

How is personal information used

06 Care only uses information gathered to maintain the quality and safety of care provided to you.  This information will not be used for any other purpose without your consent to do so.  We will not disclose your personal information to a third party without your consent unless we are legally obliged to do so or in the case of an emergency.

Sharing personal information

We may have reason to share your personal data to make sure that you receive the best all round and uninterrupted care. We will only share this information with those involved with your care and when it is necessary and limit the information to what is strictly necessary. We will always seek your permission to share information prior to any disclosure.

How to access and control your personal information

06 Care will always inform you what information it is keeping about you and what this is used for.  This information is available should you request it or somebody else if you give them permission to have it.

You may ask 06 Care to delete, update or stop using certain information we have about you.  If we are unable to process the request, we will always explain why.

There are no charges for any of these requests.

How is your personal information secured

06 Care keep your electronic information safe by protecting it with electronic safeguards and controlling and monitoring who has access to this information.

Any documents in our office are securely locked away and the premises are also secured.  We ensure all our employees are trained and up to date in information security and data protection.

What are cookies?

The aim of this site is to be interesting, helpful and informative and this can come in various forms such as text, pictures, sounds and videos.  06 Care are always keen to find out what you like and dislike and any feedback received is used to help us improve the site further.  This site uses ‘cookies’ to help the company understand how you use it.

06 Care however are obliged and permitted by law and regulation to retain certain types of data for a minimum period of time.  The minimum period of time tends to be for six years but can be longer if the statute or regulation requires.
