A comprehensive induction package is provided to all employees, this covers:
- The role of the health and social care worker
- Personal development
- Communicating effectively
- Confidentiality
- Equality and inclusion
- Principles for implementing duty of care
- Complaints, comments and compliments
- Principles of safeguarding in heath and social care and recognising signs of abuse
- Person centred support
- Health and safety and risk assessments
- Food safety, nutrition and hydration
- Infection control, preventing the spread of infection
- Managing incontinence
- Cathether care and stoma care
- Medication
You will also undertake a full day moving and handling course which covers current legislation and practical techniques.
Further training is also provided periodically in many other areas.
