Services
06 Care became operational in January 2012. Our goal is simple, we want to provide the highest quality of care to our customers.
There are times in many people’s lives where an elderly relative may need additional support, but due to commitments, families may struggle to provide this support themselves. This is a situation many families find themselves in – where finding the quality of care they want from a company they can trust proves difficult. It is our aim to provide a level of service to all of our customers, that we would want our own families to receive.
At 06 Care, we promote choice. The choice to remain independent wherever it is you may call home. Our services offer that precious gift of freedom; ensuring older people remain free to stay at home, where they’re most happy and comfortable and where they feel safe and secure, with their own belongings surrounding them. We also want to give freedom to their families, the freedom to relax in the knowledge that their loved ones are in good hands.
We don’t just provide services to elderly people – at 06 Care we look after people with different health and social care needs, and they are referred to us from lots of different organisations – and some are private customers and contact us directly.
Our customers range from very young children, to elderly people, and this is reflected in our registration status with the Care Quality Commission.

Help from the Local Authority
Do I have to pay for home care or can I get financial help?
Assessments are made on an individual basis. Each case is means tested against the amount of savings that you have and your care needs.
Your Local Authority has specially trained staff who can help you by assessing the level and type of care you need, and advising on how to go about arranging it. They can do this for you whether or not you would pay for your care yourself.
If you are likely to need financial help towards your care costs, then your Local Authority will need to carry out the assessment first, before going on to consider your financial situation.
You can find contact numbers for your local council in our ‘Useful Contacts’ section.
